Always have loved this place! I have been here several times, the staff are very friendly, the food is of great quality, and the decor is lovely. However, it is weird how they have a Sunday Brunch only menu that is unavailable for the rest of the week. This place is also only open for a small window of hours out of any given day, only for prime brunch into lunch time hours, but I do wish they would close at the same time as the rest of the garden. The items are also a tad pricey, and it's irritating to think about having to pay for parking plus park entry fees (which can easily add up to $30) just to set foot into this place.
Food was good. Service was quite slow.
The food and the staff are always great. The options are diverse and plentiful. We haven't tried the high tea yet, but would like to. This is our go to lunch while at the Arboretum.
One of my favorite locations for delicious American food. one of the best spots of its kind in the area. prices were average for the menu.
Perfect place to eat lunch/brunch while at the arboretum! We came in around 1:30pm on a Saturday and were seated quickly (within 10 minutes). We sat outside and enjoyed the live music and the scenery. I got the tea plate platter and my boyfriend got the salmon salad. Both were good. Also recommend to get their bottomless mimosas!
The food was delicious ~ the champagne vinaigrette dressing is a must!
One of my top places for delicious American food. Super savory. The staff was very kind and attentive. Prices are decent for the quality. Reminds me of a cafe in Chicago I liked to visit.
Yummy
Upscale and outdoor seating. Very nice
My wife and I had lovely anniversary dinner here and it was amazing. The service, wine, food, ambiance, everything was great. I would definitely go back
The food and service was excellent!
The bread in the sandwich was very hard, like old bread. The rest of the food was fine
What a wonderful place to celebrate something special. The Sunday Tea is elegant and the staff outstanding.
Wonderful outdoor seating with a great lunch menu. Very relaxing!
Fresh
Friendship tea was delightful! Went for valentines date and although focused for groups of ladies was also surrounded by other couples. The teas were flavorful, delicious and calming. Sandwiches although interesting needed some review due to texture. Sweets were great, atmosphere high end with a fireplace. The dining experience was paced slowly to enjoy to fully fit between 11am-2pm. Only docked a star because I enjoy lavendou bistro sandwiches and clotted cream more. But I'm likely to return again for the great deal of visiting the gardens!
I had an extraordinary time at this spot. We loved the nice vibes and the meals. The staff are super friendly. I am happy we ultimately decided to visit this place.
Food was good.
Came in here because my son was starving, and it was hot. No one else was hungry, so we all ordered drinks, and got my son some food. So the manager made the waitress drop off 3$ bottles of water and charge us without our knowledge. Dirty, no good management.
Beautiful gardens
Great! Will definitely be coming back once again. The place is actually very excellent for me.
My party of 4 adults were very disappointed with our dining experience at the Degolyer holiday dinner. We were seated in this vast plastic enclosed dining room at the far end when there were very few diners in the whole room. Our wait person rushed us through the dinner as though people were waiting for our table........ there were no people. The food was adequate, nothing special.Very lame for the money.
We had the 3 course tea. It was awesome! Great service and good food but it's not cheap.
Food was well presented, staff was very helpful and attentive
Outstanding spot for quality american food. Very savory. There was fast and courteous service. Prices are appropriate for the quality.
High tea is served at 11am and 2pm at this charming destination in the heart of the Dallas Arboretum. Docent-led tours of the DeGolyer home will tell you of Everette Lee DeGolyer, a Petroleum geologist who moved from Arkansas to Dallas in the early 1940's. The Mexican hacienda courtyards were added later where the old parking structure adjoined the house, designed in a Spanish Colonial Revival style of architecture by California architects Dermon Scott and Burton Schutt. The loggia colonnade is a recent addition for additional outdoor seating overlooking the neighboring gardens.
Delicious & light French fare in the beautiful Dallas Arboretum. A lovely location for a special meal with your parents or someone special.
We stopped here for lunch today. It was a lovely place and all the servers were very attentive. The chicken salad was delicious as was the 3 tea sandwich taster plate. We loved the lemon cake with a touch or strawberry sauce. Will definitely go again next time!
Restaurant DeGolyer, located inside the Dallas Arboretum, put on a wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch. We had our choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Bottomless mimosas of various flavors were available, along with a tremendous variety of food & desserts. A very nice way to celebrate this event.
Beautiful venue at the garden. Love all the flowers and plenty of shade on the patio. The grilled chicken sandwich was great! The ciabatta bread was delicious and it paired great with the mayo. The homemade chips were pretty good, could use some more seasoning but overall pretty good. The waitress was great at making sure our drinks were always full.
This place was SO CUTE! It's a great atmosphere with a cute fire place. The sandwiches were scrumptious and the cake was huge and delicious! Michael was our server and was very polite. My fave was the grilled cheese and the turkey with Brie. Oh and the broccoli soup was tasty!! highly recommend
Great service
Been trying to call to make a reservation for mother’s day and it goes to someone’s voicemail that doesn’t call you back!
One of my favorite spots for quality American food. do not leave if it's busy, it is worth it. service is consistently great.
American food and the scene at this location is excellent. Visited about four, it was not full. The service here is friendly. It has a nice interior. They have so many good reviews for a reason.
Classic and stylish! The service here is very personal and excellent! Dining inside or out on the patio? On a sunny day - dune outside! The colors of the flowers and old tree growth along with a fragrant breeze is amazing! Bling Blinky of Texas Shout Out: Brunches here are magnificent!
The food was amazing love it.
Food was delicious! Our waiter, Jose, was very kind and attentive as well as the lady that re-filled our drinks. Love the scenery as well.
